Nebosh Diploma in Environmental Management

September 27, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Environmental awareness has grown over the past decade, with an increasing variety of organisations realising the tangible benefits to be gained from the adoption of environmental management programmes. Appropriate waste minimisation and energy efficiency initiatives can result in significant cost savings for many organisations.

The NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management is designed for individuals with responsibilities for the management of environmental risk in relation to the damage caused by work activities.  It will be invaluable for those aiming to develop and implement effective environmental management systems within their organisations. Holders of this diploma will be able to advise their organisation on the environmental impacts of their activities, on their legal obligations and on the means of continuously improving their environmental performance as part of an integrated management approach.

It is particularly suited to Health and Safety Practitioners who wish to extend their NEBOSH qualifications. However, a health and safety background, although recommended, is not a pre-requisite for the course, and delegates come from a variety of disciplines seeking detailed knowledge on environmental management techniques.

Holders of this qualification may use the designatory letters EnvDipNEBOSH after their name and IOSH CPD Participants may allocate CPD credits for attendance at this course. In addition holders of the Environmental Diploma are eligible for Associate Membership of IIRSM, and those achieving the qualification from February 2008 onward are eligible for Associate Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
