This course is designed for elected, volunteered or appointed persons to represent their colleagues in matters of Health & Safety, assisting in the consultation and communication of effective safe working practices and implementation of the safety management plan.
The course will also ensure that those persons in your organisation, who fulfil a representative role, will have sufficient knowledge of legal requirements, inspection, risk assessments and accident investigation and reporting.
The training aims to raise awareness of health and safety issues and equip delegates to contribute positively on Safety Committees. It will enable them to act effectively in their capacity as safety representatives, in accordance with the Health and Safety (Consultation with Employees) Regulations 1996 and the Safety Representatives and Safety Committees Regulations 1977.
