Using chemicals or other hazardous substances at work can put people’s health at risk. The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) require every employer to identify the substances in use at the workplace and to ‘assess’ whether they present a risk to employed persons. Such assessments must be recorded and any risks prevented or controlled. This course covers the statutory requirements, the process of assessment and the methods and monitoring of control strategies.
